BR&W Work Day Report
August 26, 2004
A very productive day today. No we did not get to Lambertville, but we got maybe two miles south of Boss Road in the four hours we had. That agrees with the typical average of one mile per hour for heavy cutting. Still looks like at least two more full days are needed.
The weeds were very high and both mowers worked harder than I have ever seem them work. Our progress was slowed because we had not cut the bigger trees ahead of time. Next time however we will be in the area where we cut ahead of time. Today Larry cut the things that the mower could not cut. Still it was impressive in what was cut when we inched our way into a clump of trees. Larry used the big hedge trimmer and the small saw. The A5 ran perfectly all day. A good day. No one got sunburned, bee stung, or badly scratched with briars. No breakdowns, no pushing since we have a sander now, and we got Larry back to his truck by 1 PM. The next trip is to be around Wednesday September 8 th. (from Dick Ray)
