BR&W Work Day Report
September 7th, 2004
On Tuesday, Sept. 7 Pete, Charley and I did more mowing on the BR&W south end. We finished it to Rt. 29 with about four hours of mowing and logging.
The upper sections had never had the big stuff cut ahead of time, so it was slow going due to stopping and getting out the chain saw. We did establish just how big a wild cedar tree can be cut with the bar though. And typically there was a bit of bloodshed, the result of an encounter with a thorn. We cut the big tree out of the way and several others. It is unwise to go down the hill without two chainsaws. (from Dick Ray)
