Take I-287 to Boonton…
From the north, it’s exit 45. Turn left onto Myrtle Ave (US 202) and in about a mile turn right at Main Street (if you go straight, you’ll pass the Boonton Station parking lot and re-enter I-287). Go uphill over the railroad and turn left onto Morris Avenue. The freight house is the ‘coral’ pink building on the left after you cross the Rockaway River bridge. The yard is just beyond; I believe we are to park beyond the freight house.
From the south, it’s exit 44, follow the ramp and bear right onto Lathrop Ave. Turn right onto Main Street, go uphill over the railroad and turn left onto Morris Avenue. The freight house is the ‘coral’ pink building on the left after you cross the Rockaway River bridge. The yard is just beyond; I believe we are to park beyond the freight house.
The old DL&W RR turntable is beyond the dirt lot on the right, along with a bridge over the river.

VRA Meetings – St Clements Church

Hawthorne, NJ 07506
This is a new meeting place, less then half a block from the Hawthorne NYS&W station. The parking lot and entrance to the meeting rooms are in the back of the church, which in on Grand Avenue. Grand is the street on the other side of the tracks from the station, so if you are at the station, go over the tracks and make a left. You will go past a few buildings, a parking lot and a brick apartment building, just past the apartment building is another brick building with a parking lot in front of it, this is the church. Park in the lot and come in the door facing the lot, the meeting room will be the second (and 3rd and 4th) door on your left. This is much larger than what we have had at the station, has its own chairs, a kitchen were we can make coffee, a a place to lay out our snacks. All in all this is just the type of place we need that will help us be able to welcome more people to our meeting.
The meeting starts at 7:00 pm and will be followed by open projector night. Slides of current events, VRA projects or other railroad subjects are encouraged to bring them along to add to the show. Guests are always welcome.
