Hawthorne rail – final report
Just a final report on the removal of the rail from the yard at Hawthorne. Bill McKelvey lined up a trucker and a local tree service to come to Hawthorne today and pick up and transfer the rail that we helped remove and pile up. The work started around 8 am and ended just after 12:30 pm and I am happy to report, the job is now officially done. Bob Blumenstock and I helped out and it was good to see a project we started back in November come to a close. The rail will now be stored and wait for the construction of the new museum. (from KC)
